Discover Air Similan’s first A319

Paris, February 1, 2025 – Air Similan is proud to unveil its very first Airbus A319-100 featuring the airline’s distinctive livery. This inaugural aircraft, registered as F-MFBA, marks a significant step in the airline’s expansion and optimization strategy.

The A319, named « Annecy », is the first of a fleet of three Airbus A319-115 that will gradually join Air Similan. These aircraft, sourced from a previous operator, have undergone a comprehensive and meticulous overhaul at an aircraft storage and maintenance facility at Tarbes-Lourdes Airport (LDE) to meet Air Similan’s stringent technical standards. Every technical and aesthetic detail has been carefully inspected to ensure high levels of quality and safety, in line with Air Similan’s operational requirements.

Three cities, three Stories: a fleet honoring French heritage

The three Airbus A319 will proudly bear the names of three emblematic French cities, reflecting the nation’s rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes.

F-MFBA « Annecy »: Known as the « Pearl of the Alps », Annecy captivates with its crystal-clear lake, medieval heritage, and picturesque charm.

F-MFBB « Brest »: A maritime gateway to Brittany, Brest embodies the spirit of adventure and France’s seafaring legacy, featuring a strategic port dedicated to exploration and innovation.

F-MFBC « Toulon »: Nestled between the sea and mountains on the French Riviera, Toulon blends Provençal traditions with modernity, boasting a spectacular harbor and a vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere.

These choices highlight Air Similan’s commitment to celebrating French heritage while embracing the diversity of its landscapes and cultures.

Entry into service planned for Q2 2025

The three A319 will be progressively delivered over the coming weeks. Following a rigorous integration and validation process, these aircraft will enter into service with Air Similan, with operations expected to commence in Q2 2025.

Air Similan’s Airbus A319 has been configured to offer an optimized travel experience, featuring a two-class cabin layout: 8 Business Class seats, providing enhanced space, superior comfort, and a premium experience; and 126 Economy Class seats, designed for a comfortable and ergonomic journey. This balanced configuration allows Air Similan to offer a service tailored to all types of travelers while maximizing operational efficiency on its short- and medium-haul routes.

These aircraft will play a strategic role in the development of the airline’s short- and medium-haul network, enabling the launch of new destinations and optimizing operations. Further details on the initial destinations for Air Similan’s A319 will be announced at a later stage.
