Air Similan's first Boeing 787-9 leaves the factory
North Charleston, November 7th, 2020 | The first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner painted in Air Similan livery rolled out of Boeing factories in North Charleston, South Carolina.
The aircraft, registered F-MFXA and named “Toulouse”, will be configured to accommodate 268 passengers in a three-class configuration, with 28 latest-generation Business class seats configured as 1-2-1, allowing each passenger direct access to the aisles. This Business class will be equipped with flat beds as well as large high definition screens. The airline's 787s will also feature 28 Premium Economy seats and 212 Economy class seats. With Premium Economy, enjoy many additional benefits, such as 50% more legroom, more personal and intentional service, increased baggage allowance, an amenity kit, a larger individual screen, a welcome drink, an à la carte menu and dishes served in porcelain dishes, priority check-in and boarding, access to the lounges at the airport ...
The brand new aircraft has already started a series of flight tests. Once these tests are completed, it will then fly to Air Similan's main hub, Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG / LFPG), from where it can enter service in the coming weeks.
