Paris, October 25, 2024 – Air Similan is pleased to announce the launch of an entirely revamped rewards system for its pilots. This new system aims to motivate and encourage pilots to fly regularly, based on three key elements: Points, Miles, and Status.

Points

Points are awarded for each flight completed with Air Similan, depending on the distance flown. They are divided into five distinct categories, ranging from 5 Points for a domestic flight within France to 40 Points for flights over 8,000 km. Points are essential for earning and renewing pilot status and expire annually on January 1st.

Miles

Miles work differently from Points and can be used as currency to obtain specific qualifications and services. Miles are earned on each flight, with accumulation depending on several criteria, including flight duration, punctuality, and the network on which the flight was conducted. Miles are valid for one year from their date of acquisition.

Status

Air Similan rewards pilot loyalty through a status system with four levels: "Blue", "Silver", "Gold", and "Platinum". These statuses replace the former grading system of the previous intranet and offer various benefits:

- Blue : Up to 150 Miles per flight hour and access to regular narrow-body flights.

- Silver : Up to 200 Miles per flight hour and eligibility to fly wide-body aircraft.

- Gold : Up to 250 Miles per flight hour, with access to regular and special flights on both narrow- and wide-body aircraft.

- Platinum : Up to 300 Miles per flight hour, early access to new features, exclusive Discord lounge access, and participation in Air Similan’s strategic decisions.

Each status is valid until the end of the current year plus the following year. A dedicated page allows pilots to track their status progression, as well as their Points and Miles balances.

Transition to the new system

Miles accumulated after October 24, 2023, will be retained, while Points can be retroactively awarded for flights completed since January 1, 2024. Status levels achieved before the end of this year will remain valid until December 31, 2025.
